I guess some the organizer didn’t do their homework on the safety concern. You won’t find such matters overlooked at ZoukOut, as we Singaporeans are pretty anal about it.

18 Killed At German Love Parade
At least 18 people have been killed at a music festival in western Germany.
A stampede broke out in a tunnel leading to the “Love Parade” festival on Saturday after authorities tried to stop people from entering the over-crowded area.
About 1.4 million people were attending the event in the town of Duisburg near the city of Dusseldorf when the tragedy occurred.
