When people asked of me of my resolution for this year, I told them that I’ve none. And they will look at me with those big bewildered eyes of theirs as if I’m an alien.
Well they got the part of me looking like an alien right, but resolutions are for sissies.
I have like quit doing so for a very long time now. I truly believe by giving yourself false hopes; well you’re actually setting yourself up for failure.
I’m a realist and will only act on goals and objectives that are within my means.
If I want something I’ll plan and keep to the schedule. I’m fairly disciplined so I’ve no problem achieving if I set my sights on an objective.
Resolutions are lofty dreams for dreamers. The world is full of them, and most of the time they fall hard and short of that dream.
I’ve dreamt before, and it didn’t get me anywhere in life but failures and more disappointment. Like once I wanted a pony so bad, but that didn’t happen. Ok I might have milked it on the last part. Hey white lies does more good than harm right.
I’ve woken up to the reality of life, and kids as much as I try not to be the bearer of terrible news, there’s no Santa, no Tooth Fairy and certainly there’s no such a thing as a resolution.
So wake up.
