Was reading an online article, and this paragraph struck a chord with me. I don’t want to sound as if I’m alienating our foreign exports, I personally think we do need them, but indeed their influx has destablise the local workers/grads opportunities.

While some local undergraduates have financial difficulties and have to take up part-time jobs to continue their studies, foreign students studying in Singapore universities on government scholarships have their tuition fees pay for entirely on top of a monthly allowance. Many of them are guaranteed good-paying jobs upon graduation. In contrast, Singapore graduates have to seek out jobs on their own and are burdened with a hefty study loan.
It’s hard to say, there’s no right or wrong in such situation. I guess the best solution is just to focus on yourself alone, upgrading always, and seek your own fortunes if possible. It’s a tough world out there.
