I’m Going Downhill

It’s a vicious cycle.

Early start of school semester I’ll train really hard, get fit, some races here, watched my diet, good sleep, proper recovery, everything is done meticulously right.

Then comes along exams where for the next month or so, it’s practically mugging everyday.

I ‘let-go’ of myself, eat bad fast food, odd sleeping hours, cutting down on training, everything that’s bad for an athlete, I’ll do it. I just can’t help myself.

It’s pretty crappy as the pressure really gets to me and I compromise. Compromise then becomes Accommodating and finally I’ll give it up totally by Avoiding.

It’s all due to the lame-ass local education system which prioritize too much on academic basis. I believe to full develop a well rounded student, there’s more to it than A’s on your transcript.

I wish there’s was more time for ‘play’. Yes play. It doesn’t hurt to adapt some of the American schooling structure. I really love how they award scholarships to compelling athletes students, or how the education semester revolves around sports season/training ..

I wish, I wish. I can only wish eh. Just bite the ‘bullet’. Back to mugging *Dread*
