Are you a homophobic

Sha July 11, 2008 10

I’m not a homophobic, despite all the jest I’ve made on this blog on the subject

No lah I’m not

Well most of such jest are about gross cheekopeks gay uncle. They are really gross I tell ya. Once I bumped accidentally into a middle age man in the bushes, he was groping you know his down there in public probably wanking! Yucks. I got many stories and all of them are ‘fugly’ looking uncles

But of course the good looking ones can be as gross too. But to put the matter straight, I’m really straight. I don’t really mind getting to know people who are gay and befriend them. The keyword be ‘civilized’. Don’t go groping on me and expect me to lick your weener, I’m not into that

Sometimes the bloggers who tries too hard to show they’re straight and not homophobic, well they might just be the one who needs to come out of the closet, if you know what I mean. I’m pretty open about this issue and the blogosphere; Singapore one that is, it is a pretty new realm for discussing our sexual orientation

To me if someone wants to be gay, let them be. Some time back, to be gay means that you’re suffering from a mental illness but now we all know tendency for homosexuality is all wired in our brains even before birth. Genes may predispose some men/women to seek partners of the same sex and I quote “It has been hypothesized that elevated maternal stress during pregnancy can increase the probability that the child be homosexual”

So what we’re doing now in most communities are denying gay coming out into their own, and subject them to our pre-conceived idea what should be the right way of life in our prefect little society. Pretty sad there in my opinion. Well I must admit maybe half or most of you might not agree on my opinion here, but ponder over it awhile before passing any judgement

So the question is now, “Are you a homophobic”

Did you know that …

  1. Gay and non-gay people emit different armpit odors
  2. Gay men and lesbians are significantly more likely to be left-handed or ambidextrous than are non-gay men and women
  3. Homosexual men tend to have more older brothers than do heterosexual men. Each older brother increases the odds of being gay by 33%
  4. Gay men are more likely to have a counter-clockwise hair whorl pattern
  5. Gay men report, on an average, slightly longer and thicker penises than non-gay me … WTF!!
  6. Gay men and lesbians are more verbally fluent than heterosexuals of the same sex
  7. Gay men may receive higher scores than non-gay men on tests of object location memory (no difference was found between lesbians and non-gay women)

What the hell? Although I do agree with a few of the points made above, how many people did they test?

To answer your question…I’m not homophobic.

But! I am Catholic and follow East Asian culture so…both influence me greatly.

On the issue of homophobia, homosexuals are protesting in Sydney ahead of WYD:

there’s no scientific proof that suggests gays are the result of a genetic quirk. i think it depends on ur social environment. if the society accepts such orientation, then its open season for people to become gay. kids will grow up thinking it is alright to become gay. then they will become one. and it just passes on from generation to generation.

Yeah I’ve read such reports too as you mentioned, all factors are still questionable but if you put it all together, it all makes sense ya

But aside from the reason how and why, I think Singapore can be a more tolerable place for gays, the reason behind my entry
