China Love Market

Recall Lee Jr speech at the national day rally 2008, he mentioned the love market that Chinese parents go to go ‘hawk’ their child prospects for marriage in Beijing. They brought along photos and even their child CV to find future husbands and wifes for their offspring

Well I found a news report on it. Whilst the parents are keen for their child to get married, the ‘children’ itself are more focused on their careers or just holding off marriage as its just not the time yet

Conflicting ideas between the parent and child, and its not too different here in Singapore. Although not as persistent as these China parents, I think its a good idea to have a ‘love market’

I didn’t know that the youth of China are global and more open these days. They akin sex to burgers, ready for take-away and tapau for later. Watch the video from the above link, you’ve to hear their comments!

Now where’s the love market in Singapore … just wanna share it with my dad just in case lah :p
