What’s Hari Raya without the merry of the songs eh. Today and tomorrow is slated to be the last two days of fasting.

So far I’ve fast without missing a single day. Been doing so for eons, a clean record since I don’t know when lah.

Let me share some of my local cultural songs, celebrating our Muslim festival of Eid ul-Fitr. These are some of my favorites.

Sudirman – Dari Jauh Ku pohon Maaf

This song is super sad man for me every time I hear it.

Sharifah Aini – Suasana Hari Raya

A more upbeat happier Raya song.

A classic you must have on your Hari Raya song list.

Siti Nurhaliza – Meriah Suasana Hari Raya

She’s hot!

Sudirman – Balik Kampung

A great song for the road

Aishah – Pulanglah

Why Raya song have to be always so emo eh.

P.Ramlee – Dendang Perantau

This song always make me ponder of my wretched life.

Ok. Nobody’s perfect, but I have met more Malay guys who drink (socially) and club, and miss fasting and prayers…

so I would have to say: Way to go, Sha! for the good fasting record in Ramadhan :)
