Internet Love Scams

malay-dating-sitesI’ve come to a conclusion that love is really blind after reading news reports that the number of Internet love scams are on the rise.

A typical con would be the culprit befriending a single person on a dating site, and after some time corresponding between each other, the victim are asked to transfer money into the culprit’s account under the pretext of them being in trouble, or money expenses for their trip to meet-up.

Sounds too much of a con right, but more and more people are being duped into it in fact.

I guess when you’re “in-love” you’re truly blinded by such trickery as you tend to let you guard down.

All I can say is bastards to all these scammers.

I for one have a love-hate relationships with dating sites.

Yes I to admit that I’ve used such dating sites extensively before, to a point of even going out on a few dates with the gals that are matched with my profile and expectations.

Of course most of the time it didn’t pan out well, and I’ve lost contact with most of them after our first encounter, but I’m thinking of getting back on the online dating-sites bandwagon once again.

My advice for noobs to dating sites are; always write an honest profile description of yourself, use your OWN photo, and never ever remit any money to anyone, anywhere.

And oh ya, the rules of dating in real life applies online too, do be civilized!

Oh mak, kahwin kan lah aku …
