Yes the topic of littering was on the Straits Times website for two days in a row now.
Oh wow, such breaking news eh … which hogged our local headlines.
For me personally the topic at-hand does not have any merit to be bumped as top headline.
How about local issues such as disparity in high and low income earners, the growing number of homeless in Singapore, and such.
I know that the NEA is trying to drum up the message of us not to litter in public, but I felt the majority of such litterbugs are actually our new Foreign Talent and Foreign Workers.
Sorry ST and NEA, but you’re actually barking up the wrong tree. Have you ever been to places such as the fields of MRTs such as Boon Lay, and Sembawang, where our FW/FT hang out.
We Singaporeans knows well enough where the dustbins are, and would throw our litter there; most of us I reckon. The propaganda of Singapore being a ‘fine’ and clean city that was taught to us since we were young has served us well.
We have become a subservient drones.
