Wa caya sama lu “Michael Learns To Rock”

Sha September 5, 2009 2

Were you there at Fort Canning. I find that the older I get, the lamer and cornier I get. Check out the video below if you missed out the show yesterday night. The videos were not taken by me by the way.

25 Minutes

After some time I’ve finally made up my mind
she is the girl and I really want to make her mine
I’m searching everywhere to find her again
to tell her I love her
and I’m sorry ’bout the things I’ve done

I find her standing in front of the church
the only place in town where I didn’t search
She looks so happy in her weddingdress
but she’s crying while she’s saying this

Chorus:
Boy I’ve missed your kisses all the time but this is
twentyfive minutes too late
Though you travelled so far boy I’m sorry your are
twentyfive minutes too late

Against the wind I’m going home again
wishing me back to the time when we were more than friends

But still I see her in front of the church
the only place in town where I didn’t search
She looked so happy in her weddingdress
but she cried while she was saying this

Chorus:
Boy I’ve missed your kisses all the time but this is
twentyfive minutes too late
Though you travelled so far boy I’m sorry your are
twentyfive minutes too late

Out in the streets
places where hungry hearts have nothing to eat
inside my head
still I can hear the words she said

Chorus:
Boy I’ve missed your kisses all the time but this is
twentyfive minutes too late
Though you travelled so far boy I’m sorry your are
twentyfive minutes too late

I can still hear her say…….

Yes we do get older, we might put on a few pounds, we might have more wrinkles on our faces, but once the music starts, we were transported back to our sweet-16 days as if it was just yesterday, all of us the kakak-kakak, abang-abang, makciks and pakciks mouthing the lyrics in-sync with MLTR, while shamelessly moving and grooving at Fort Canning without the care in the world.

To me the songs lyrics doesn’t make sense at all, but in all it was pure fun and allowed those present to roll-back-the-years ya know. I associated the music to a time in my life when life was much simpler, so I guess that explains the attraction to the genre.

Something You Should Know

Drifting back to a time gone by
she was in my life
Now I’m watching her from my car

Someone bought her rollerskates
God am I too late?
Did somebody else take my place?

She’s getting closer
and as I roll the window down
I spoke and then she turned around
And I said:

Chorus:
There is something you should know
I could never let you go
because I miss you so
Baby when the time is right
together we will fight
to get you in my life

Looking back through misty eyes
but with a fathers pride
I drive away in my car

It dosn’t matter baby
if it takes a year or two
Someday
you’re gonna find the truth
And I thought

Chorus:
There is something you should know
I could never let you go…

It was a wonderful nostalgic event. Thank you MLTR for bringing back the yesteryears …

n yes u r right… sometimes its the nostalgic feeling of being transported back into a time of phase of our younger years…. nw that i am in my middle 20s, hearing all those old songs like boyband groups and Spice girls make me reminisce of the time when i had been in my schooling years… and well… i do miss those times….. :(…n yeap u r right, those younger times are much more simpler than nw… :( i miss being in school… i miss all the times before i reached 21… cos after that the years seemed to just zoomed past u…
