Man … I’ve to stop reading the forward emails that I received from my friends during this Ramadhan month. I mean it’s all full of ehem and mean stuff. I should have known, but hey I thought it was valid emails.
One in particular that I can share here without batal my fasting, is the video someone made of our Miss Singapore World 2009 winner Miss Ris Low. It’s really mean, just watch below. You’ll see what I mean.
Poor girl right. What a PR attack someone did on her right. I’m sure she’s a nice person, but to say bad stuff about you without even knowing who they are personally.
So what she’s not articulate and has a slight speech impediment perhaps, or the video makes her look like the bimbo she claims not to be. And no I’m not being sarcastic, duh. And no again I’m not defending our Miss Singapore, women these days can do that themselves in this day of age.
I just know the situation of being made fun, being ridiculed, or ‘pointed’ at, just because of how you present yourself, the way you speak, how you look at people, what you’re wearing, the things you wrote, that sort of stuff. You should read the comments made of the video page, it was so mean.
Grow up people (I’m referring to the mean morons). That’s so six year old.
well… i m nt trying to be mean here… i mean i know hw it feels to be ridicule n stuff.. after all, i had been in that position before… being ridiculed that is… and ok she has the height and she does look pretty when she doesnt speak… i guess its more of society “high” expectation in a sense that you are our ms singapore universe and well.. you have to be “perfect” in every way….. I mean she does look nice physically, but the moment she open her mouth to express intellectually, i am afraid, i would feel rather wat do u call tt in chinese… “no face” already lah.. cos the way she talks is like… ” oh i love safari, i like leopard prints etc etc…. ” i dun mean to laugh at her… cos i know hw bad it feels to be laughed at.. bt should a ms universe be able to talk more i mean “maturely” and more intellectually.. rather than OH i LOVE leopard prints etc etc….. u r representing us, singapore but if intellectually you sound like a secondary sch kid rather than a mature adult, wat impression will that give to people around the world….
that intellectually… singaporeans juz doesnt have it…. i have seen some singapore girls who can speak much more intellectually than OH i love leopard prints… we are talking abt the universe gal… n nt wat u likes or dislikes… it should be more wat u can and would do for the universe…. :P
and once again, as mentioned i know how it feels like to be laughed at… bt seriously, i think someone should have deserve the award….. someone who is sophisticated, intellectual with a high self confidence to boot…. well.. yes she HAS the bod and physically but when it comes to intellectual, well, hearing her talk doesnt make me laugh at her.. but makes me cringe…. the world doesnt want to know wat you like or dun like babe.. the world wants to know what you CAN DO for the world…. :P

cmon! let’s face it..it is just the way she speaks..and the majority chinese sin jia po girls sounded just liek her. what if she speaks with british accent? people will despite her too rite? ..and say she’s pretending. i do, however hope that she handle intelligent questions..
