NDP 2009

Our gahmen is very efficient seh. The NDP 2009 website is up and running already.

Well this year NDP 09 for me, I do have plans. Hopefully all goes well, so I won’t have to spend another holiday at the Padang with other brada Banglas.

Here are some info about NDP 2009

Schedule of Parades and Rehearsals:

1. National Education Shows:

• NE Show 1 – Saturday, 11 July 2009
• NE Show 2 – Saturday, 18 July 2009
• NE Show 3 – Saturday, 25 July 2009

These are full dress rehearsals watched by Primary 5 students as part of their National Education programme.

2. Singapore National Day 2009 Preview Parade:

• Saturday, 1 August 2009

3. Singapore National Day Parade 2009:

• Sunday, 9 August 2009
• This year’s Parade will start at 6pm. (similar timing for the Preview)
• The Floating Platform @ Marina Bay is the venue of the parade and show.
• The military contingents will also march through the City Hall area via the Padang at St Andrew’s Road. So you may catch the action there even if you don’t have tickets.

4. Singapore National Day 2009 Fireworks

Fireworks will be launched during:

• 1. all 3 NE Shows (11, 18, 25 July 09)
• 2. Preview Parade (1 Aug 09), and
• 3. Actual Parade (9 Aug 09)
• On National Day (9 Aug 09), the fireworks will last longer than during the NE Shows and Preview.
• The fireworks are expected to be launched near the Floating Platform @ Marina Bay at the end of the Parade/Show, around 8pm – 8.30pm.
