And when I heard our controversial former Singapore beauty queen, Ris Low was becoming a 987fm DJ, I had to hear and see it for myself.

I would usually listen 8pm to 12 midnight for my usual “Muttons to Midnight Show” hosted by Justin and Vernon as I worked.
But the past two days I had tuned-in much earlier to the “Shan & Rozz Show” from 4pm to 8pm, to hear what’s the fuss all about, and you know what …
I’m jumping on the anti-Ris Low bandwagon on becoming a DJ!
Oh my God, what was the 987fm management thinking. Yes indeed Ris Low has the popularity, for all the wrong reasons of course. Perhaps 987fm ratings are bad, and they had to resort to this.
But still, it’s a bad decision, and the listener response so far has been negative on Ris Low signing up as a DJ. I’ve to give props to the girl for trying though, you might be talented at something else, but woman, NOT DJ-ing!
Ris Low even got a warning letter on her first day at the job. The management stated for her to be present at 1600H or 4pm, but … HAHAHA, let me laugh first, I can’t help it … Ris Low thought 1600H was 6pm! WTF right.
Even the other DJ on the show Rosalind Lee, was reported to have walked out of the show halfway on the second day of recording. She was said to be fuming, and has requested for a transfer.
But then again, by a longshot, I wondered if this all could be an April Fool’s joke eh? Or a publicity stunt.
For the clueless, Ris Low was stripped of her Miss Singapore World Crown last year, after it was found she had a past conviction of credit card fraud.
The young teen was also attributed to coining the term “Boomz“ and “Shingz”, a lingo now part of local context, derived when a YouTube video poking fun of her English usage got popular.
Recently Ris Low admitted of being molested on her blog. It seems everywhere she goes, Ris Low tends to attract trouble and attention. Can anyone say media whore.
