I’ve been hearing rants of our BOOMZ beauty queen, Ris Low endorsement of Espire Condoms from my friends.
I would have thought someone more ‘mature’ would be the face of such safe sex endorsement ya know, and probably why Ris Low was chosen as she had plenty of ‘air-time’ with her BOOMZ exposure.
Personally the only reason I would really buy an Espire Condoms perhaps maybe out of curiosity, other than that, I would go for the usual Okamoto Crown Condoms, the skinless skin condoms.
Yes it’s good to know Ris Low is promoting safe sex among young people, but if according to police annual crime briefing, minor under 14-years-old who had sex is on the rise. Despite being consensual, it is still considered statutory rape.
Of course such influences of the widespread availability of the Internet are changing the values among our youths, we can’t be at a stand-still and hope things will revert back to the old ways.
Sex is good of course, if it’s consensual between two ADULTS, and I emphasize on the legal age ok. Such values needed to be taught at home, and being Asian, parents usually give this a miss.
Like many other Singapore kids out there, I myself had to learn about the bird and the bees on my own, luckily I didn’t go to the extend of experimenting to the point of getting involved in underage sex when I was younger.
So Ris Low, the weight of responsibility of disseminating safe sex is big a responsibility, I do hope you didn’t do it just for the sake of the big bucks.
Talking about being a good role model, I’m doing my small part here to promote safe sex.
Kids if you’re under 14 and am having sex, DON’T … if not Uncle Sha will find you and smack your wee-wee!
