For many athlete sprinters out there, once they’ve retired from sprinting, they usually go up the distance class. As for I was the opposite as I was once a distance runner, who moved down a class to sprint.
And now I’ve quit sprinting, I’m into another phase of my running life, which is going back to my roots of distance running.
I’ve never really ran a marathon before, the longest mileage I ever did in a single run was probably 25km, and after the run I was swelling like hell.
Anyway my ultimate aim to run a marathon one day of course. Anyone can do it, but for me being the perfectionist, I want to do it well. So for now I’ll slowly progress and add mileage to my current running routine.
A training buddy even asked me to join Triathlon. Hmmm I’m also thinking about it.
So anyone joining Singapore Marathon this year?
