I just popped out earlier this morning to the ATM machine, and I observed people scurrying for cover when it poured.
I can’t comprehend the very reason people won’t want to carry an umbrella with them.
Yes the brolly, bumbershoot, canopy, gamp, parapluie, sunshade …
Whatever you call it, it separate one who will get wet, and the other dry. Well not entirely dry I reckon, but at least you won’t be drenching wet.
As for me, I always have an umbrella in my bag. No it doesn’t make me look less manly, duh. I’ve even got a pink brolly once, but I’m very secure about my sexuality.
We all know the kind of weather Singapore gets, where equatorial rain is pretty common, and with the recent torrential rain we’re getting these days, Singapore (2,150 mm total rainfall) look more and more like Guinea (3,784 mm total rainfall); a country that receives the most rain in the world.
Due to Singapore geographical location near the equator and maritime exposure, expect high humidity and abundant rainfall to occur in the late morning and early afternoon. So carry an umbrella, and be ready!
