For all our so called attainment of ‘perfection’, it’s all perception … there’s still people out on the streets. Yes this is Singapore, our ‘fine’ global city. Never ever take things for granted, as there’s always someone out there who is less fortunate

kinda pity them… so much uncertainties in their life…
but there was once,
i conveyed one of these less unfortunate folks…
and he told me, the most greatest thing,
is for them to live each day at a time…
and having a piece of bread for even a day, is a luxury to them..
pity yar???

you’re one kind and giving person miss nurizz
I am forced to be homeless as I met with a rental scam. The landlord told the agent to call me to leave after I stayed at the leased room for only one night.
Initially, the contract was signed binding the agreement that each party must give one month’s notice. After I handed her 1 month deposit and 1 month rental, she changed agreement conditions contrary to the contract in other words, she set her own rules – aircon usage supposedly to be 10 hours daily then changed to 8 after collecting my money and one room as claimed by her before signing contract to be occupied by 2 tenants turned out to be 3 tenants.
Toilet was left unwashed and looked utterly filthy as though neglected for years.
The worst is not yet over. I overlooked all these nonsense till the last straw! My personal belonging went missing and I questioned her but she retorted,”Who wants to steal your things?”
I then warned her that I will not hesitate to make a police report should this happen again and upon hearing all this after an houir later afte I had left the place, she got the agent to kick me out on the phone in the same evening at around 8.45pm. But before this, she told me to accept a month’s stay and she will be withholding the deposit. The contract is a minimum stay of 3 months with one month notice. This is one of their dirty tricks. I then realised she is a cheat.
The agent refused to return my money but told me that it will be returned to me after
it’s been cleared but I then realised the contract stated no refund.
I am now homeless all because of this rogue agent and unscrupulous landlady.
It’s really appalling and alarming that all this is happening in Singapore!
It seems it’s really tough to regulate all these rogue rental agents and landlord.
We are made homeless not by choice but by these DESPICABLE IDIOTS!
That is just terrible.
I do hope your situation now is better?
Well I usually try to rent rooms from someone I know, that helps.
Yeah its a dog eat dog world out there, compassion and civility is beginning to lose its meaning here.
Its really sad.. especially the Malay family. Here is an article that I’d recommend you read through-
