Anyway I’m showcasing it to my International readers, portraying how most us local speaks when we’re amongst each other and friends.

I can’t really find the Malay version of minah and mats speaking, so if anyone knows, do forward it to me.
I think we Singaporeans have an on-off switch where we change our way of speaking from the Queen’s English to our own local Singlish.
That switch depends very much on the occasion, situation and the person we’re speaking to.

I personally feel it would be wrong to ‘abolish’ our very own English-based creole.
Malaysians have their Manglish, we have our Singlish.

But seriously there were clearly words that were just a bit wrongly written to make it sound weird. Sure it’s always about the pronounciation, but that was just far off occassionally :)
