Want to apply for HDB flat

Yup that’s one of the lines Singapore men used to propose to their woman here.

For the clueless and International readers, HDB flat are our state-built housing pigeon-hole units, where newly married couple are given priority when purchasing a home.

Some find the line cute, some consider it unromantic, but for me I find it logical.

And it got me thinking what other cheesy Singapore marriage proposal lines could be out there.

Possible proposal lines

Montessori or PAP kindergarten

Does it even matter, really? I was never proposed to. All i did was say to my fiance, “A guy came to me and asked if I was engaged.” which really did happened. So it ranged some alarm bells in his head that i am up for grabs and anyone can propose to me so long as i’m not engaged. Which is part of the law. So yeah… He just decided it’s time to talk to our parents.

Unromantic, but i’m not ur usual kind of girl anyway. Heh.

That could be your cheesy proposal line.. “Shall we talk to your parents about our future?” :p
