What makes Robert Kiyosaki famous is that he is able to bring across messages such as the importance of financial literacy in a interesting and engaging way, instead of just presenting the boring theory.

Probably it's just me, but I would be skeptical about these 300 odd pages book talking about financial planning, investing etc etc.. I majored in finance and frankly, each of my textbooks are probably a few times thicker than Robert Kiyosaki's book, and it didn't really cover as much!

Anyway, he was once a bankruptcy and frankly, I would take his financial advices with a pinch of salt :)

That's just me
